Delete your Lightsidian account and data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Lightsidian account (published on Google Play by Lightsidian) and everything stored with it.
How to request account deletion
- Send us an emailWrite to hello@lightsidian.com with the subject “Delete my account”.
- Send it from your account emailUse the same email address you signed in to Lightsidian with, so we can confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot, tell us the email address of the account instead and we will verify it before deleting anything.
- We confirm and deleteWe delete your account and all associated cloud data, then reply to confirm. This normally happens within 7 days and never takes longer than 30 days.
Delete individual notes yourself
You do not need to contact us to remove single notes. Deleting a note in the app removes it from your device and from your cloud storage. To remove everything from your device without contacting us, delete the app's data in your Android settings, or uninstall the app.
What is deleted, and what is kept

Lightsidian is local-first: if you never signed in, nothing was ever sent to the cloud and there is no account to delete. In that case simply uninstalling the app removes your data.
Before you delete — export your notes
Deletion cannot be undone. If you want to keep your notes, export your whole vault to plain Markdown files and folders from within the app first.
